چکیده
The ideal choices for the tasks presented in the project proposal would be the NVIDIA CUDA toolkit (http://developer.nvidia.com/object/cuda. html), which exposes more underlying architecture to programmers. However, the package requires a capable NVIDIA video card, and we could not get for this project. ATI also designed a similar platform “Close-to-Metal (CTM) Device” (http://ati.de/companyinfo/researcher/documents/ATI_ CTM_Guide.pdf ) for ATI devices. But to date, there is no release accessible online yet.

On the basis of milestone 3 report we state the diierent measurement tasks in detail that are necessary to calibrate the chosen source models and to validate the corresponding model assumptions. We conclude this report with an...
متن کاملTrends in Processor Architecture
Processors have undergone a tremendous evolution throughout their history. A key milestone in this evolution was the introduction of the microprocessor, term that refers to a processor that is implemented in a single chip. The first microprocessor was introduced by Intel under the name of Intel 4004 in 1971. It contained about 2,300 transistors, was clocked at 740 KHz and delivered 92,000 instr...
